Summerstock Theatre Intensives 2026

Finding Nemo JR

Ages 4 (mature) through 12

Part of the IMPACT Series

2026-2027 Season


Splash into a visually rich, fast-paced Summerstock experience where performers bring Finding Nemo JR to life in just two weeks, followed by a 2 weekend run of performances.


All experience levels - from those exploring theatre for the first time to professional performers ready to grow artistically in a focused, collaborative environment.


Participants will not only perform in the production, but also collaborate in elements of the process including set, costume, prop, and creative development, working alongside a professional artistic team. In true summerstock fashion, they will make the show! In order to do this, participants will create and learn about set, costume, and prop design, as well as learn critical skills to execute these designs. They will also learn about sound, lighting, stage direction, choreography, stage management, marketing, front of house. 


Participants  will learn how to put on a show!


Space is limited. Once capacity is reached, registration will close.


📆 Important Dates

Program Begins / Auditions / First Day: Monday, June 8, 2026 at 9AM

Casting Announcement: Within first 2 days of program

Opening Night: Friday, June 19, 2026

Closing: Sunday, June 28, 2026


🎭 Auditions take place on the first day.

All registered participants are cast in the production.

Auditions are used to determine role placement.


Audition specifics are available at sign up.


📍 Program & Rehearsal Details

Location:

3148 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103


Duration:

2 Weeks of Summerstock + 2 weekends of shows

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM - 3PM


This is a structured, immersive rehearsal and production process.

Not all performers will be called for every moment of every day, depending on role and production needs,

however all participants will be engaged every day.


Participants will also contribute to:

  • Set and prop creation
  • Costume elements
  • Creative and promotional materials


🍽 Food & Breaks

  • Participants are welcome to bring a lunch
  • A microwave and refrigerators are available onsite
  • Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the theatre


There is also a 7-Eleven and nearby food options within walking distance.With permission, participants may go in small groups to purchase food during designated breaks.

📌 Attendance Expectations

  • Participants may have conflicts during the rehearsal process - communication is required in advance
  • Attendance is mandatory for performances


Due to the fast-paced nature of Summerstock, consistency and commitment are essential.

This Summerstock intensive reflects a professional

rehearsal model and includes:


  • Acting and character development
  • Vocal performance
  • Choreography
  • Collaborative production work (design, build, creative input)


Participants will gain both performance experience and a deeper understanding of how a full musical is produced.


💵 Tuition & Program Support

$600


Tuition directly supports:

  • Professional artistic staff
  • Show rights and materials
  • Professional costumes, sets, props, lighting, and sound
  • Art and show creation supplies including paint, fabric, and wood
  • Theatre space and production operations


3Peace Studios and Point Loma Playhouse are both

501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
